Welcome to Cambridge Lakes Charter School
Located on a 15-acre developing campus in Pingree Grove, IL, Cambridge Lakes Charter School began serving students in the fall of 2007. In one year, the school set itself apart from the norm. Parents and students have discovered a deep commitment to high achievement learning within the school. Flexible learning space, integrated technology, personal learning plans, differentiated instruction, integration of art, music and P.E. into the curriculum, a 1/14 student ratio, all certified teachers facilitating learning of a research-based curriculum foster learning. Cambridge Lakes Charter School offers a new and viable choice for families looking for a different learning environment for their K-8 students. Within CUSD-300, Cambridge Lakes Charter School offers school choice, and students can transfer to the school and the District pays their tuition. Out-of-district students, willing to pay tuition may be admitted. Comparable private school's are charging $10,000 to $14,000 for the 2008-2009 year. The charter school charges $7,900. tuition, with minimal fees (FYE 2009.)

Cambridge Lakes Learning Center
The 15-acre campus in the midst of Cambridge Lakes, a D. R. Horton Cambridge Homes' development, will include seven buildings. Three have been built and an annex added to the 3/4 Building. The next buildings will be added to meet enrollment needs and with the cooperation of bond investors.. Campus activities include the charter school, Cambridge Lakes Preschool, Cambridge Adult Academy, and School's Out®. In planning, The Cambridge Academy for blended-virtual learning.
